Man Jailed After Violent Attack In Huddersfield

A man has been jailed following a violent attack on another man at the end of last year in Huddersfield.

On 11 November last year, on Jacobs Row in Lockwood, where there an altercation between two men.

A 32-year-old male was seriously assaulted after being punched, kicked and his head stamped on.

The suspect then used a large stone and attempted to drop it on the victims head.

Gary Rushworth, aged 30, of Rowan Avenue Mews in Netherton was found guilty of attempted section 18 assault following a five-day trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Today (2 May) Rushworth was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
