On Thursday 2 May Selby will host a finish for the Tour de Yorkshire. The race will be part of the year-long celebrations in the town to mark the 950th anniversary of Selby Abbey.
Selby will take centre stage for the 2019 Tour de Yorkshire on the opening day of the international cycling event.
Large crowds are expected to watch the riders will finish the first day of racing with the finish line right in front of Selby Abbey, on Thursday 2 May 2019.
It’s estimated that last year’s event boosted the regional economy by over £90m.
