New apprenticeship opportunities at Leeds Building Services

Leeds City Council’s housing repair service is offering people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to learn new skills and secure an exciting career through the latest round of apprenticeships.

Leeds Building Services (LBS), the council’s provider for repairs, maintenance and improvement works to council houses, schools, offices, leisure centres and children’s homes, is welcoming 10 new recruits to add to the 41 apprentices it currently has.

Leeds City Council executive member for communities Councillor Debra Coupar said:

“Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for young people to earn while they learn in a supportive and nurturing environment. I’m proud that we offer opportunities like this so people can in turn contribute to the fantastic work we are doing to develop and improve the quality of housing in Leeds.

“Leeds Building Services is now entering its fourth year of apprenticeships and is embracing the benefits apprenticeships bring to their workplace.”
